The Senior Engineer Maintenance is responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance activities within the Autotex Aquamatik Division. This role ensures high equipment uptime, reliability of power and utility systems, and compliance with statutory and safety standards. The incumbent will lead a team of maintenance personnel, implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, and support the commissioning of new machinery to meet operational and production goals efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure high uptime for production machinery to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply and efficient functioning of power systems and utilities (e.g., STP).
  • Maintain safe layouts and ensure safety fixtures are installed on all pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Adhere to statutory compliance for mechanical and electrical systems including cranes, lifts, and conveyors.
  • Maintain and update architectural and routing diagrams of utility systems (gas, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems, particularly in IMD machines.
  • Address stress-in-motion and quality control issues through maintenance interventions.
  • Delegate and supervise maintenance tasks across shifts efficiently.
  • Train and develop maintenance team to enhance technical skills and operational readiness.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new machinery and small-scale projects.
  • Ensure ISO/OSHA compliance and maintain maintenance documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with EB statutory norms and regulations.

Key functional Responsibilities:

  • Timely execution of PPM schedules and accurate documentation.
  • Reduced machine downtime with effective breakdown management.
  • Operational reliability of power systems, STP, and other plant utilities.
  • Regular safety audits and compliance reporting.
  • Detailed records of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Competencies Required:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting (especially IMD machines).
  • Proficiency in preparing and interpreting system architecture and layout diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent team leadership, delegation, and mentoring abilities.
  • Familiarity with ISO/OSHA compliance and statutory regulations.
  • Ability to manage maintenance documentation and audit readiness.
  • Project management skills for small-scale installations and upgrades.

Educational Qualification & Experience required:

  • Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
  • Preferred: Postgraduate diploma or certification in Maintenance Management / Industrial Safety
  • 6–10 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering setup.
  • Proven experience in handling preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
