Wock-Oliver is a leading company in the wastewater treatment industry, dedicated to providing high-quality engineering solutions to clients. We're looking for a Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team. This position will expose you to treatment technologies such as MBR, MBBR, RO, UF, and more, while offering the chance to make a direct impact on large-scale projects across multiple industries.

About the Role

This is a technical position focused on designing and refining complete processes for MBR, MBBR, UF, RO and related technologies. You will also prepare complex proposals for water and wastewater treatment systems. You will be responsible for developing process flow designs, creating AutoCAD drawings, and ensuring that all proposals are both feasible and compliant with industry standards.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring that all proposals reflect real design capabilities, working closely with sales, factory, and design teams to ensure cost accuracy and technical integrity.

You'll thrive if you have hands-on MBR system design experience and are familiar with a broad range of wastewater technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesMBR & Process Design

• Perform complete design and detailed calculations for MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) systems, including sizing, flux optimization, and hydraulic balancing.
• Design and engineer MBBR, SBR, RO, UF, and other water treatment systems.
• Develop and update process flow designs, P&IDs, and AutoCAD drawings to reflect technical specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications and adhere to industry standards for safety and regulatory compliance.

Proposal Preparation & Technical Documentation

• Prepare and refine technically complex proposals for a range of industries (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, industrial wastewater).
• Create, maintain, and update proposal formats, drawings, and process documentation to align with project requirements and internal capabilities
• Collaborate with sales, graphics, and factory teams to ensure feasibility, cost accuracy, and alignment with design capabilities.
• Gather and incorporate client feedback post-project to refine designs and improve future proposal accuracy.
• Ensure designs adhere to engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines across industries (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, etc.).
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes, ensuring all proposals meet the latest compliance standards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience of 3 to 8 years in MBR design and other water & wastewater treatment technologies (MBBR, RO, UF, SBR).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, process flow design, and engineering calculations.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals for complex projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in both technical and non-technical tasks.
• Willingness to relocate or occasionally travel internationally as required for project coordination or client meetings.
