  • Experience in coding in Java, object-oriented and modularized software.
  • Demonstrated success completing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience with Java or similar OO language
  • Lakehouse, Iceberg, delta tables, hudi, data pipelines, declarative pipelines, Spark, Flink, Big data, Semantic model, Data modeling, Star schemas, Snowflake, OLAP, Data cloud, Data fabric
  • Expert level understanding of best practices for object-oriented and modularized software. Emphasis on Java.
  • Experience with relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and/or PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of SQL and query development
  • Familiarity with Unix shell
Nice to have:
  • Expertise in writing Java code and working knowledge of JavaScript. Experience in other OO languages will be considered.
  • Expertise in unit and integration test automation.
  • Deep database internals knowledge.
  • Technical leadership skills (requirements gathering, mentoring, project ownership).
  • Understanding of monolithic Java application.
