Through district-level committees, mentorship networks, and ecosystem-building activities like workshops and bootcamps, the Startup Cell connects youth with investors, industry experts, and government resources. By 2028, the initiative aims to support 5,000 youth-led startups, create 100,000 jobs, and significantly contribute to India's goal of "Viksit Bharat @2047". The Cell is committed to nurturing both rural and urban innovation for an inclusive economic future.

Role Description

This is a volunteer, on-site role for a Startup Mentor based in Chennai. As a Startup Mentor, you will dedicate your experience and expertise to guiding young entrepreneurs in business planning, fundraising, and market strategies. You will provide one-on-one mentorship, conduct group coaching sessions, and collaborate with startup teams to refine their business models. Additionally, you will help build connections with investors, industry leaders, and other ecosystem stakeholders to support the growth of innovative startups.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Business Planning, Finance, and Sales
  • Proven ability in Mentoring and Coaching emerging entrepreneurs
  • Experience in developing market strategies and leading business growth initiatives
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • Knowledge of startup ecosystems and entrepreneurial principles
  • Background in supporting or working with early-stage businesses is preferred
