Heart & Vascular Superspeciality Hospitals, Mumbai, is seeking dedicated professionals to join our well-established Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). Our CSSD team plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and infection control, and we're looking to strengthen it further with skilled and committed personnel.

  • Role: CSSD Technician
  • Work Location: Ghatkopar, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and sterilize OT instruments using appropriate methods
  • Operate equipment such as ultrasonic washer/dryer, water distiller, steam sterilizers (Hi-vac & gravity), Ethylene Oxide sterilizer, and washer/decontamination units
  • Perform biological testing and monitor sterilizer efficiency
  • Identify surgical instruments and apply correct sterilization techniques
  • Package, label, and rotate sterile supplies accurately
  • Maintain detailed logs for all sterilization batches and ensure batch recall readiness
  • Report malfunctioning equipment promptly for repair
  • Practice safe handling of contaminated items and maintain departmental cleanliness
  • Participate in training sessions, departmental meetings, and adhere to hospital policies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform additional duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Certification or diploma in CSSD/OT Technology or relevant paramedical field
  • Knowledge of cold sterilization techniques and gas sterilization
  • Familiarity with Steris strips, instrument markers, and record-keeping protocols
  • Strong understanding of infection control standards and safety procedures
