About the Job

As a
Technical Manager for IDrive BMR (Bare Metal Restore)
, you will lead the team in advancing our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery platform, improving backup, recovery, and cloud integration while driving reliability, scalability, and performance across on-premises and cloud environments.

What we expect from you:

Experience & technical expertise

  • 10–15 years of software development experience, including 4–6 years in technical or engineering management roles.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple teams and technical leads, managing 20+ engineers.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C++, and web-based architectures.
  • Hands-on understanding of Linux environments (Debian preferred), file systems, and storage technologies (ZFS preferred).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align technical execution with business goals.

What you will be doing:

Technical oversight & execution

  • Oversee the architecture and development of BMRs core platform (ZFS-based storage, backup orchestration, recovery automation).
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for next-gen BCDR capabilities, including AI-driven insights, smart retention, and hybrid cloud recovery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-grade reliability and seamless user experiences.
