Role Overview

  • The ServiceNow Functional Architect plays a strategic role in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives.
  • This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, mentoring development teams, and ensuring the platform is optimized for performance and scalability.

Role & responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Design and develop ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow for optimal performance and user experience.
  • Work with Product Owners and business teams to prioritize deliverables.
  • Prepare release runbooks and coordinate release activities.
  • Lead ServiceNow upgrades and enhancements.
  • Stay updated on latest platform features (e.g., GenAI, NowAssist).
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
  • Mentor developers and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members.
  • Support hiring by evaluating candidate profiles.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow SME or Tech Lead.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • CSM module
    • CMDB and data loads
    • Flow Designer
    • SLAs and scripting (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
    • Development tools: Configurable Workspace, Workflow Editor, UI Builder, Service Portal
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • ITIL Foundation
