Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare all piping system drawings (bilge, fire, fuel, lube, exhaust, etc.)
• Create layout drawings for engine room and DG spaces
• Prepare technical specifications (SOTR/TSP) for procurement
• Review shortlisting of equipment and participate in vendor evaluations
• Organize drawing packages for submission and approval
• Support engineers in drawing binding and documentation
• Lead weight estimation, equipment specification, and layout finalization
• Approve diagrams for bilge, fire main, fuel, lube oil, cooling, sewage systems, etc.
• Coordinate inter-departmental integration (hull, electrical, automation)
• Interface with classification societies and owner representatives
• Lead TNCs, finalize QAPs, and attend major FATs
• Validate vendor/system drawings and ensure delivery compliance
• Ensure all design activities meet project schedule and technical standards
Preferred candidate profile
Experience: 08-10 years in marine piping/system design Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Tools Knowledge: AutoCAD, Aveva Marine, Cadmatic, TTM, Excel, MS Office
