An Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Registrar is a medical practitioner who provides comprehensive care for women's reproductive health under the supervision of senior consultants. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, managing pregnancies and deliveries, performing minor surgeries, and handling emergencies. The role requires detailed patient record-keeping, active participation in rounds, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Accompany consultants in rounds and execute their orders.
  • Assisting in OT / therapy / medication and other specialized medical care for treatment and prevention of illness.
  • Management of post-operative patients in recovery room / ward / ICU and labour room management.
  • Assist in treating women during prenatal, natal and postnatalperiods as per the orders of the consultant
  • Coordination with nursing staff in delivering quality patient care.
  • Handling case sheets and preparation of discharge summaries & other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor patients conditions and progress during their stay in the hospital
  • To perform any job / task as assigned by the superior
  • To adhere to safety norms of the hospital and follow both patient and staff safety rules
  • To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
  • To attend night calls / duties as per the requirement of the department

Ability to commute/relocate:
