Job Description – DFM Lead / Technical Designer

Position: DFM Lead / Technical Designer

Location: Mumbai (Office + Factory coordination)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Designer / DFM Lead to design and standardize retail fixtures, modular racks, and kiosks. The role will focus on turning creative concepts into accurate, manufacturable models and drawings using Fusion 360 (with woodworking and cable management add-ons). This person will be responsible for developing design rules, hardware libraries, and assembly documentation, while coordinating with vendors for prototyping and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed Fusion 360 parametric models, shop drawings, cut-lists, and BOMs.
  • Use Fusion 360 add-ons for woodworking (cut-lists, nesting) and cable management in kiosk designs.
  • Build and maintain standard design rules, hardware/material libraries, and assembly manuals.
  • Coordinate with outsourced vendors for CNC, laser cutting, and finishing; validate prototypes.
  • Ensure designs meet safety, stability, and finishing standards for retail use.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams; train junior designers on Fusion 360 standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or Mechanical/Production Engineering.
  • 5–8 years' experience in retail fixtures, furniture, or kiosk design.
  • Proven expertise in Fusion 360 (mandatory) with woodworking/nesting and cable management add-ons.
  • Strong knowledge of panel processing, joinery hardware, acrylic/metal integration, and kiosk wiring.
  • Hands-on experience with vendor coordination and QC of prototypes.
  • Strong documentation, detailing, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400, ₹1,377,033.08 per year
