Day-to-day responsibilities of a program manager:
● Initiate and drive project planning activities such as project change Control,
Stakeholder Identification, risk & issues management, communication management,
etc.
● Responsible for developing project plans, procedures, reporting, goals, budgets and identifying resources needed.
● Plan and monitor the progress to ensure milestones are met across various projects and programs
● Identify, assess, track, manage and mitigate risks at multiple levels in the program
● Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the program along with team management
● Provide strategic guidance and insights to team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company's overall strategy.
● Assessing program strengths and identifying areas for improvement by developing an evaluation method.
● Assuring uninterrupted delivery of services through the writing of program funding proposals.
● Working on strategy with the marketing team.
● Track project performance in respect to time, cost, and quality by constantly
evaluating project progress and conducting regular team status meeting
● Identify decisions required to unblock a project, determine the decision makers, and
ensure decisions are made to drive projects forward
Skills required:
● Understanding Strategic Analysis (Types and Processes)
● Proven experience in Program and Project management.
● Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
● Proven Conflict Resolution and team managing Skills
● Practical Goal Setting: Step Process for Success
● Strong analytical, research skills and critical thinking, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights.
● A constant risk management mindset
● Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
