Role & responsibilities
- Project management: Oversee daily construction activities, coordinate resources (labor, materials, equipment), and manage schedules to meet deadlines.
- Quality control: Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet project specifications, quality standards, and technical requirements.
- Safety compliance: Enforce safety regulations, building codes, and standards, conduct inspections, and address potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordination: Direct the activities of workers and subcontractors, and liaise with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and safety issues. Prepare and review construction-related documents, and provide regular progress reports.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues, conflicts, and problems that arise during construction to prevent delays.
