About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless networking product development with hands-on expertise in switches and routers, along with deep knowledge of networking protocols and embedded systems programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for networking products such as switches and routers.
  • Work on protocol stack development and integration across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3.
  • Implement and troubleshoot networking protocols including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and OFIB.
  • Develop and maintain management interfaces such as SNMP or NetConf.
  • Optimize embedded software for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, testing, and validation of networking solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 6 - 15 years of experience in embedded software development for networking or telecom products.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocol stack development.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of SNMP, NetConf, and network management systems.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wireless networking technologies and hardware-software integration.
  • Familiarity with network simulation tools or packet analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
