Role Overview

Manage PAN-India operational expenses and drive cost optimization initiatives to support organizational goals. Oversee expense recording, analysis, reporting, and ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency across all regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Expense Management:

    Manage and control PAN-India operational expenses, including manpower, vehicle hire, fuel, vehicle maintenance, conveyance, and SG&A costs. Ensure accurate recording and timely payments.
  • Cost Optimization:

    Act as a co-leader in driving cost optimization initiatives to achieve organizational efficiency and savings.
  • General Ledger (GL) Scrutiny:

    Perform detailed scrutiny of GL entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records.
  • Budget vs. Actual Analysis:

    Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual cost actualization against approved budgets. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • MIS Reporting:

    Track, analyze, and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly MIS cost reports and dashboards within defined timelines.
  • Cost Reviews and Reconciliations:

    Conduct periodic (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly) cost reviews, reconciliations, and variance analyses to maintain financial integrity.
  • Audit Coordination:

    Coordinate and ensure timely completion of internal and external audits within predefined timelines.
  • Standardization and Automation:

    Develop and implement standardized and automated cost reporting processes to enhance accuracy and bridge gaps between Regional and Head Office P&Ls.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

    Liaise with branches, regional offices, and other departments to ensure smooth operational and financial continuity.
  • Team Leadership:

    Lead, coach, and manage the finance team effectively to build capability and ensure high performance.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in organizations with a wide PAN-India branch network.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferred).

Qualification and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7+ years of relevant experience in operational finance, cost management, and reporting
