IT Head - Network/System Engineer background

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire IT department, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and helpdesk functions.
  • Define and implement IT strategy, policies, and standards aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Oversee planning, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, software, and network architecture.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve IT efficiency and support digital transformation.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and lead IT risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing IT team; foster a culture of service excellence and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, IT governance, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with other business units to identify technology needs and provide effective IT solutions.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with a strong foundation in networking and system administration.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or IT management role.
  • Hands-on expertise in managing network infrastructure, firewalls, servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, disaster recovery, and IT compliance standards.
  • Experience in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to balance technical and business needs.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g, CCNP, MCSE, CISSP, ITIL, PMP)
