As we expand our portfolio of containerized BESS solutions for global utility, C&I, and microgrid markets, we are seeking technically sound and commercially sharp professionals to support pre-sales and solutioning efforts. Role OverviewThe Pre-Sales Engineer – BESS Container Solutions will be responsible for responding to customer and tender/RFP requirements by designing optimal technical and commercial storage solutions.

The role will involve system sizing, technical due diligence, solution engineering, and costing of BESS containerized products, closely working with the product, BD, and engineering teams. Key ResponsibilitiesTender / RFP AnalysisReview, analyze, and interpret RFP/tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements related to BESS solutions. Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarifications with clients and stakeholders.

Solution Design & SizingPerform system sizing and configuration of BESS based on use case (e.g., peak shaving, frequency regulation, solar shifting). Select appropriate battery capacity, PCS ratings, EMS, and safety systems in alignment with technical and grid requirements. Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), system architectures, layout drawings, and other pre-sales documentation with support from the design team.

Costing & Proposal DevelopmentCreate detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) and cost sheets for containerized BESS solutions. Collaborate with procurement and product teams to ensure accurate pricing of components (batteries, PCS, containers, auxiliaries, etc.). Prepare techno-commercial proposals and performance models.

Customer EngagementSupport BD and sales teams in technical discussions with clients, EPCs, utilities, and consultants. Present technical solutions during client meetings, webinars, and bid evaluations. Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with product managers, engineering, sourcing, and project execution teams to align pre-sales solutions with deliverable capabilities.

Ensure all designed solutions comply with relevant certifications and local/global standards (UL9540, IEC, BIS, etc.). QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical / Power / Energy Engineering; Master's is a plus.5–7 years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical proposal development, preferably in energy storage, solar storage, or EPC companies. Hands-on experience in BESS sizing tools, load simulations, and electrical design basics.

Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies (LFP/NMC), PCS, EMS, containerized systems, and relevant safety/compliance standards. Familiarity with sizing software is a plus. Key SkillsStrong analytical and technical writing skills.

Ability to translate client requirements into technically feasible and cost-effective solutions. Excellent coordination and communication skills to work across functions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

Attention to detail, especially in technical documentation and pricing.
