Role and Responsibilities:As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and develop well-structured PHP code. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and enhancing web applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
  • Writing clean and efficient PHP code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
  • Integrating data storage solutions to support dynamic web applications
  • Collaborating with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing interfaces
  • Participating in code reviews and maintaining code quality across projects
  • Conducting thorough testing of applications and resolving bugs and technical issues
  • Troubleshooting and debugging complex problems to ensure smooth application functionality
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in PHP development
  • Working with version control systems to manage code repositories effectively
  • Collaborating in an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning and stand-ups
Candidate Qualifications:To qualify for this role, you should have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven 4+ years of experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web application projects
  • Proficiency in PHP and web development frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
  • Experience with relational databases, database design, and SQL querying
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services into web applications
  • Knowledge of modern PHP development tools and practices such as Composer, PHPUnit, and dependency management
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing secure web applications
  • Ability to optimize code and improve application performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
