Job Description

Summary

Assistant Engineer Buyer for driving the 100 PERCENT Material Fulfillment in coordination with Commodity Buyer.

Site Overview:

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only Indias defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape Indias aerospace ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to work with Commodity Buyer for assigned list of Suppliers.
  • 100 PERCENT responsible for Material fulfillment for assigned Commodity with overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum.
  • Be responsible for raw material scheduling, procurement follow up and expediting.
  • Coordinate with Buyer for plotting the Material visibility to plot the FG unit readiness.
  • Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy.
  • Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements.
  • Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning.
Ideal Candidate:

Candidate with good exposure in Purchasing and Material Management.

Required Qualification:
  • Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical) from a reputed college/university.
  • Person should be pursuing the BE Degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Purchasing and Material Management.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma/Problem Solving tools.
