Role: Agile Scrum Master
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that all Scrum events are effective and productive.
- Mentor and coach team members on Agile values, principles, and practices, helping them to understand their roles and responsibilities within the Scrum framework.
- Work closely with Product Owners/Project Manager to help manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization of tasks for the development team.
- Identify and resolve impediments that hinder the team's progress, fostering a supportive environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance by promoting collaboration and ensuring that team members are empowered to take ownership of their work.
- Monitor and report on team progress using relevant Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Drive the team toward continuous improvement by encouraging reflection on processes and practices, and implementing changes as necessary.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, and promote best practices within the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders outside the team to align on delivery expectations and ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
- Track project progress using Agile tools such as Jira.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and impediments affecting project execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between business, development, and QA teams.

Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira , ADO etc
