The Work You'll Do
A Technical Lead provides strategic technical direction and leadership for development teams, shaping architecture decisions and implementation approaches across software products and services. They translate business objectives into technical solutions while fostering innovation and engineering excellence. They are accountable for technical quality, team productivity, and the overall success of complex initiatives. As a Technical Lead, you will serve as both a hands-on technical expert and a people leader, guiding teams through challenging problems while maintaining alignment with organisational goals and technology standards.

More Specifically You Will

• Define and implement technical vision, architecture standards, and best practices across development teams
• Lead technical decision-making processes, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive consensus on implementation approaches
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, cultivating technical excellence and fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Champion modern engineering practices including TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps principles across the organisation
• Design and architect complex distributed systems that scale effectively to meet business requirements
• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring technical integrity and alignment with strategic objectives
• Drive innovation by researching and integrating emerging technologies that solve business challenges
• Lead technical discovery sessions, code reviews, and architecture reviews to ensure quality and consistency
• Resolve complex technical challenges and remove barriers to team productivity
• Build relationships with cross-functional teams to improve collaboration and delivery efficiency
• Provide technical leadership during critical incidents and complex production issues

What We Need From You

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of software development experience
• Proven technical leadership experience with a track record of successfully delivered complex projects
• Advanced full stack development expertise (.NET 8/9, REACT) with expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing microservices, event-driven architectures, and API strategies
• Extensive experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
• Advanced database knowledge (Postgres, MongoDB) and messaging system expertise (RabbitMQ, Service Bus, SQS)
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, including performance management and career development
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive technical decisions
• Outstanding communication skills in English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
