Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Lead QA, you will be responsible for driving the quality engineering strategy across our AdTech platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will architect scalable QA solutions, lead automation initiatives, and mentor a high-performing QA team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our Real-Time Bidding (RTB) systems, microservices, and partner integrations (SSPs/DSPs).

You will not only ensure flawless campaign delivery workflows but also bring expertise in automation frameworks, distributed systems testing, and performance benchmarking.

Objectives

• Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy (manual + automation) for large-scale, distributed AdTech systems.
• Ensure system robustness, reliability, and performance of RTB platforms and integrations.
• Champion automation-first approaches while guiding the QA team on best practices and standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and partner teams to validate critical workflows, integrations, and campaign delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of end-to-end test strategies for backend services, APIs, microservices, and partner integrations.
• Drive automation architecture using modern frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, TestNG, JUnit).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, ensuring consistent delivery across distributed systems.
• Validate data integrity and compliance with OpenRTB and other advertising protocols.
• Build and maintain performance benchmarking frameworks with tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Analyze logs and datasets (Kafka, ELK stack) to proactively identify quality and performance improvements.
• Mentor and coach QA engineers, setting quality standards and reviewing test plans, automation scripts, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate QA practices into CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster and reliable releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues, campaign delivery, and system-level defects with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent problem-solving skills on LeetCode/HackerRank may substitute).
• 8–12 years of QA experience, including significant leadership/mentorship in QA or SDET roles.
• Proven expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting (Java/JavaScript).
• Strong foundation in QA principles, defect lifecycle management, and distributed system testing.
• Hands-on with automation and manual testing in large-scale product environments.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Exposure to Kafka, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for log and data analysis.
• Experience in continuous integration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
