The Legal Advisor will support the company in ensuring legal compliance, drafting documents, and protecting business interests.

Role Summary

The Legal Advisor will be responsible for providing legal guidance, preparing legal documentation, managing compliance, and ensuring the company's operations adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including agreements, contracts, and notices.
  • Provide legal advice on business operations, employee matters, vendor agreements, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, labour, and commercial laws.
  • Handle legal disputes, coordinate with external lawyers, and assist in litigation matters.
  • Review legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate liabilities.
  • Maintain and update legal records, licences, and statutory documents.
  • Support management in decision-making by providing legal interpretation of regulations.
  • Assist in drafting company policies and compliance guidelines.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, labour law, contract law, and FMCG-related regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and legal documentation skills.
  • Good communication, advisory, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
  • LLM preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3–7 years of experience in corporate legal roles (FMCG experience is a plus).
