Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in the Tours & Travels

sector, preferably with IATA billing knowledge. The candidate will manage financial operations

related to ticketing, tour packages, BSP/IATA settlements, vendor payments, customer

transactions, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

 Manage advanced accounting operations including AP/AR, ledger posting, and

reconciliations.

 Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.

 Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

Travel & IATA-Specific Accounting

 Handle BSP/IATA billing, reconciliation, and settlement processes.

 Verify and reconcile airline ticketing invoices, refunds, ADM/ACM, and credit notes.

 Process invoices related to hotel bookings, tour packages, activities, and transportation.

 Manage tickets issued through GDS (Amadeus / Galileo) for financial accuracy.

 Track agent commissions, incentives, and markup calculations.

 Ensure proper documentation of ticket cancellations, reissues, and refunds.

Taxation & Compliance

 Manage GST related to air tickets, domestic tours, international packages, and service

charges.

 Handle TCS (Tax Collected at Source) for overseas tour packages.

 Ensure accurate TDS deductions and statutory filings.

 Maintain audit-ready financial statements and support internal/external audit

Cash Flow & Expense Management

 Monitor daily cash flow, petty cash, and operational expenses.

 Track customer advances and ensure proper adjustment during final billing.

 Verify all travel-related expenses and vendor payments.

Coordination & Support

 Coordinate with ticketing, sales, operations, and travel consultant teams.

 Provide financial analysis and cost tracking for tour packages.

 Assist in budgeting and forecasting for travel operations.

Qualifications & Skills

 Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.

 2–5 years of accounting experience in the Tours & Travels sector.

 Mandatory: Working knowledge of IATA/BSP billing and reconciliation.

 Experience with GDS-based ticketing processes (added advantage).

 Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, FinBook etc.).

 Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and travel-sector-specific taxation.

 Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical ability.

 Good communication and coordination skills.
