Senior Interior Site Engineer – Turnkey Projects

Job Summary

The Senior Interior Site Engineer will oversee on-site execution of interior turnkey projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and safety compliance. The role involves coordinating with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project managers, while supervising all civil, MEP, and interior works to deliver a seamless project handover.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Manage day-to-day execution of interior works (partitions, flooring, ceilings, joinery, furniture, etc.).
  • Supervise civil and finishing works, along with integration of MEP, HVAC, and fire-fighting services.
  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

2. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and consultants to resolve site issues.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for smooth work sequencing.
  • Attend daily/weekly progress meetings and provide updates.

3. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality checklists.
  • Monitor finishing standards, alignment, levels, and material application.
  • Identify snags and ensure timely rectification before handover.

4. Material & Resource Management

  • Prepare material requirement schedules based on site progress.
  • Check delivery notes, maintain material registers, and ensure correct usage.
  • Supervise manpower deployment, productivity, and labor compliance.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Implement EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines at site.
  • Ensure PPE usage, scaffolding safety, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain statutory documentation and ensure compliance with IS/green building codes.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily site diaries, progress reports, and checklists.
  • Assist project manager in preparing RA bills, measurement sheets, and site handover documents.
  • Track project milestones and highlight delays/risks proactively.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong technical knowledge of
    civil & interior fit-out works
    (gypsum, false ceiling, joinery, flooring, painting, etc.).
  • Familiarity with
    MEP, HVAC, and fire systems
    integration in interiors.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural & service drawings.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and team-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and site reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
  • 5–8 years
    of hands-on site execution experience in interior turnkey projects.
  • Proven track record in IT offices, corporate interiors, or commercial fit-outs.

  • Quality of executed works and minimal snags.
  • Timely completion of site milestones.
  • Efficient manpower and material utilization.
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Smooth coordination with stakeholders and minimal escalations.
