Position Title: Lead Social Media & Content
Department: Marketing
Reporting To: Head Marketing -Vice President
Location: Thane
Job Purpose:
To develop and lead a compelling content strategy across social media and ecommerce platforms that enhances brand visibility, builds community, engages audiences meaningfully, there by enhances brand perception and supports business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media:
Lead monthly content calendar for all platforms brand and product posts, campaigns, topical content, reels.
Supervise agency and in-house creators for timely and relevant execution. Platform specific content strategy and calendar
Drive community growth, interaction, engagement, and advocacy.
Collaborate with influencers (in house influencer management)
Integrate influencer content, UGC, and brand IPs into the content ecosystem.
Monitor analytics and optimize based on insights.
ORM management
Ecommerce Content:
Oversee A+ and B+ content creation: product renders, lifestyle shots, infographics, etc.
Ensure SEO-friendly, informative, and brand-right product page content across platforms.
Coordinate with design, copy, and ecommerce teams to maintain hygiene and freshness.
Lead content updates based on seasonal campaigns, trends, and inventory movement.
360-degree Brand Campaign, Social media campaign:
Partner with marketing, digital, category, ecommerce teams to amplify larger campaigns and launches across social and ecommerce channels.
Ensure strong storytelling and cross-platform synergy during brand moments.
Collaboration with internal and external teams:
Interface with internal stakeholders Supply Chain, Packaging, Finance, Legal, Technical, and the Customer Complaint Cell to ensure smooth functioning.
Manage EBO support through content creation and adaptations.
Oversee agency coordination, production houses, shoots, videographers, photographers, and all related shoot requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
Lead the development and execution of content strategies across social media and ecommerce platforms to build brand engagement and drive conversions. Manage end-to-end content creation, including campaigns, shoots, and product storytelling, ensuring consistency and impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, timely, and performance-driven content. Analyse content performance and continuously optimize for better results.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term social and content strategy tied to brand goals.
- Creativity: Strong storytelling and content ideation skills across formats (static, video, reels, copy, etc.).
- Consumer-Centricity: Deep understanding of audience behaviour on digital platforms.
- Performance Orientation: Results-focused with clear KPIs for engagement, traffic, and conversions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Works seamlessly with brand, ecommerce, influencer, design, and agency teams.
- Trend Sensitivity: Keeps pulse on pop culture, category cues, digital innovation, and content formats.
- Excellent written and visual communication skill
- Content strategy, ideation, and execution, concept development
Multitasking ability - Basic knowledge of design and video production workflows.
- Data interpretation social metrics, ecommerce KPIs, content performance
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for aesthetics and tone.
Experience & Education:
- 8-10 years of experience in content or social media roles, preferably in lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or consumer brands.
- Experience in managing social media platforms, content creation processes, and ecommerce content.
- Hands-on experience in managing agencies, influencers, and creators.
- Strong understanding of platform nuances (IG vs YT vs Pinterest vs Amazon, Myntra, Quick commerce etc).
- Familiarity with tools like Meta Business manager, Canva, Creator Studio, etc
