Hiring: Application Tester (Contract-Based)

Role Overview:

As an
Application Tester

, you'll be the
quality gatekeeper

for our web application — ensuring every release is stable, seamless, and meets business objectives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to execute comprehensive testing strategies and ensure that no defect goes unnoticed.

Your role extends beyond just identifying bugs — you'll analyze root causes, suggest preventive measures, and help optimize processes that drive continuous improvement. Your insights will play a pivotal role in shaping a product that's
secure, scalable, and delightful for end-users

.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute
    manual and automated test cases

to ensure complete coverage of all product functionalities.

  • Perform
    cross-browser, cross-device, and platform compatibility testing

to maintain consistent user experiences across all environments.

  • Identify, document, and prioritize
    defects, performance gaps, and usability issues

using appropriate tools and frameworks.

  • Collaborate proactively with
    developers, product managers, and UI/UX teams

to validate fixes and align with business requirements.

  • Conduct
    regression, performance, usability, security, and API testing

in accordance with the project's release cycles.

  • Develop and maintain
    comprehensive test documentation

, including test plans, defect logs, status reports, and quality metrics.

  • Take ownership of
    User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

phases, ensuring all stakeholder expectations are met prior to release.

  • Participate actively in
    sprint planning, QA standups, and post-release evaluations

to continuously enhance testing processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in
    web or mobile application testing

, preferably in SaaS or subscription-based projects.

  • Deep understanding of
    software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices

.

  • Proficiency with
    bug tracking and project management tools

(e.g., JIRA, Trello, ClickUp, or Asana).

  • Hands-on experience with
    automation testing tools or frameworks

such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Familiarity with
    API testing tools

like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.

  • Working knowledge of
    Agile/Scrum workflows

and sprint-based testing cycles.

  • Excellent
    analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and a passion for creating seamless, error-free digital experiences.
