Collins Aerospace is looking for a senior procurement professional with experience in the aerospace and defense industry. This individual will lead the work transfer team in support of our Lighting Systems. This Person may have one or more direct reports on the team.

This is an onsite position in Bangalore, India with the opportunity to travel up to 10-20% of the time. However, a hybrid model (typically 2-4 days onsite) may be considered for an ideal candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Take ownership and liaison with Cost Excellence team to deliver committed secure savings / headwind mitigation actions.
• Lead and drive supplier work transfers from one to another, engaging with all relevant functional and regional teams.
• Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals.
• ; Colloborate with segment procurement teams and responds to client issues.
• Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within the work transfer.
• Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
• Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
• May perform delivery assurance responsibilities for critical parts.
• Participate in C.O.R.E./Continuous Improvement events and activities such as Value Stream Mapping or Kaizen Events.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience orin absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Supply Chain processes, supplier interface and purchase order placement.
• Understanding of contract structures, business terms and conditions.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus.
• Experience with MS Office
• MRP/ERP systems experienceMust be willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of purchasing experience
• Previous experience with project management
• Previous experience with SAP
• Experience utilizing Power Steering & Tableau
• Technical background in production environments
• Aerospace industry experience
• Skills in Lean, Six Sigma or ACE
