Head of Sourcing India

Our Exciting Opportunity

We are now looking for a Head of Sourcing for our Networks and Managed Services function across India.

Your role will make Ericsson and our Customers successful by actively contributing towards securing short and long-term profitable business.

As the Head of Sourcing for India, you will be primarily engaged with the Customer Units (CUs) at the earliest opportunity to help those CUs make the best 3PP business decisions possible given the details of the opportunity/project. You will drive a team of Regional Strategic Sourcing managers to deliver this remit. You will act as a central focal point of Sourcing, fostering close collaboration with CU Heads, and Heads of Network Operations plus interfacing functions such as Legal, Compliance, OHS, Network Operations, Managed Services and Sales. In addition, you may periodically provide market analysis of companies, industries, or initial proposals on how to reduce risk; recommend the appropriate contractual document, find alternative suppliers; investigate options from other CUs, support efforts to increase margins and find ways to overcome obstacles.

You will strive to understand the Customer Unit's short, mid and long-term business plans and understand the spend driven by the business to help Category Managers develop the Sourcing Strategy/Plan to accomplish the work in the best, quickest and most effective way possible. The Head of Sourcing participates in driving the efficient planning of Sourcing needs thereby reducing costs while driving up margins for the partnering business entity.

You will

• Lead the Networks and Managed Services Sourcing function across India;
• Develop and implement a Sourcing strategy for network delivery and drive ongoing performance management and improvement.
• Ensure that the procurement strategy is aligned across business partners and through the Regional Sourcing Business Partners to ensure their support in participating in supply base efficiencies and improvements.
• Apply knowledge and expertise to allow early proactive engagement between the sourcing team and business units and functional stakeholders in strategy development, tender execution, contract negotiation and supplier performance evaluation.
• Create and enable the organization to achieve short, mid, and long-term goals and objectives.
• Develop cost saving opportunities via the identification, implementation and tracking process of the organization.
• Be responsible for building and developing a world-class sourcing team in India that includes hiring great talent, growing colleagues via training and development initiatives and motivating by implanting appropriate performance management and incentive programmes.
• Engage and commit to Partnering with the assigned business domain at all levels
• Engage actively on escalations as required both into and from the supplier base.
• Inspire business ideas, strategies & PSL
• Hold sourcing responsible for the 3rd Party Cost base throughout the Sales Cycle of projects and "own" the spend activity for designated customer or business domains
• Optimize Sourcing performance targets

To be successful in the role you must have

• Education: A first academic degree or equivalent qualification
• Min years of experience: 10 years of related business experience (in sourcing strategy)
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, maintaining a healthy balance of collaboration with the desire to challenge the status quo.
• Excellent eye for detail – spot a flaw in a plan very quickly.
• Demonstrated a strong understanding of Ericsson Business
• Domain experience: Network Build, System Integration, Sales and Pre-sales, Commercial Management. Knowledge of OSS/BSS and Cloud, Site Products and Logistics and Indirects (BSS) would be an advantage.
