In the Process Department we work on basic engineering projects and modular units projects development for our customers. We are in the process of building a core team to follow and develop this activity in India.

For this core team, we are looking for a Lead Process Engineer attached to the Process Global Shared Solutions HoD. You will be located in Axens Global Engineering & Execution Centre at Mumbai in India.

Assigned to projects involving different technologies (refining, petrochemicals, biofuels and renewables) within the Process Group, you will be part of international projects and quickly supervising activities of Axens process engineers.

Your main activities will be:

• Supervise the Process team work on license or module projects,
• Participation in the development of Process Books in designing the equipment and preparing the specifications for Vessels, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers and Heaters
• Contribute to Process Engineers skills development and develop coaching/trainings for them
• Interact closely with Technology Experts, transverse engineering specialists and Process Specialist
• Follow AXENS procedures for the release of project specifications,
• Coordinate the activities with other departments (Drafting, Engineering, Project…),
• Projects follow-up with Detail Engineering Contractor / Engineering, Procurement and Construction including engineering documents review,
• Participate to client meetings (PFD and P&ID review, HAZOP, SIL Review, 3D model Review, etc.).
• Compliance to AXENS Policies (HS&E, Intellectual Property Protection, Integrity & Codes of Conduct)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master's Degree or a higher equivalent in chemical or process engineering

You have at least 12 years of experience within an engineering company or within the refining, petrochemical, gas industry, chemical or biochemical industries

Successful experience of project management,

You are experienced in Process basic and/or detail engineering tasks, such as:

o Process Modeling using chemical engineering softwares (Pro II, Hysys, etc),

o Equipment specification (exchangers, pumps, compressors, drums, etc),

o Process flow diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID),

o Process control and Safety.

An experience on units operations support would be a plus.

A fluent level of English is mandatory, other language(s) appreciated.
