Job Overview

The Manager Sales - Genset Industry will be responsible for driving sales growth for diesel generator sets and related electrical equipment. Based in Mumbai/ Ahmedabad, the ideal candidate will manage B2B sales and develop client relationships within the assigned region. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in lead generation specific to diesel generators, with a proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients (Mandatory skill).
  • Direct sales expertise related to diesel generators and electrical equipment, ensuring deep product and technical knowledge (Mandatory skill).
  • Demonstrated ability in selling electrical equipment, especially in B2B industrial or infrastructure sectors (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong knowledge of sales forecasting techniques to set achievable targets and align with organizational objectives.
  • Proficient in customer relationship management, with the ability to nurture and retain long-term business clients effectively.
  • Solid experience in B2B sales environments, handling key decision makers and complex sales cycles in the electrical industry.
  • Advanced product knowledge of diesel generators, their applications, and technical aspects relevant to clients operational needs.
  • Capacity to analyze sales data and market trends to identify business opportunities, optimize strategies, and drive revenue growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within the genset and electrical equipment market segment in Mumbai/ Ahmedabad and surrounding regions.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet assigned revenue targets and enhance market penetration.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, including B2B clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotations, and proposals tailored to customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal technical and support teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adapt strategies to maintain competitive edge and achieve sales objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, features, and applications to support customer inquiries and drive solution-based selling.
  • Support post-sales activities, including collection follow-up and resolving customer issues to maintain positive client relationships.

Qualification: BE/Diploma or equivalent with 8 to 10 years experience in Sales/Business Development
