Role Overview

The Accounts & Compliance Assistant will report to the Manager – Finance, Accounts & Compliance and assist in maintaining financial records, supporting statutory compliance, and coordinating documentation and reporting across UF Academy & Studios and UF Academy Foundation. This is an excellent role for someone looking to grow within a professional and purpose-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in bookkeeping, expense recording, and reconciliation in accounting software Google sheets & Zoho Books).
  • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts; manage documentation for audits.
  • Track collections, vendor payments, and petty cash transactions.
  • Support GST, TDS, and PF compliance and coordinate with consultants as required.
  • Maintain accurate digital filing and physical records for accounts and compliance documents.
  • Assist with renewals, licenses, and statutory registrations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for financial and compliance updates.
  • Support report preparation for management and auditors.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company and financial information.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (experience in a startup is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Zoho Books
  • Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances. Including CSR Act.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Kannada (Hindi/Tamil is a plus).

Compensation

  • Competitive monthly salary depending on experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹6, ₹8,000.00 per month
