Responsibilities :

  • Implement and manage advanced SD-WAN features, including application-aware routing, traffic engineering, and QoS policies.
  • Optimize SD-WAN performance through detailed analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Fine-tune SD-WAN configurations to meet specific application requirements and business needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex SD-WAN network issues, including routing, connectivity, and performance problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in incident management and problem resolution processes.
  • Integrate SD-WAN with security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and cloud security platforms (SASE).
  • Implement and manage security policies within the SD-WAN environment.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for SD-WAN configuration and management.
  • Utilize scripting languages (Python, Ansible) to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for SD-WAN deployments.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on SD-WAN performance, security, and utilization.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security engineers, and application developers.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participate in team meetings and technical discussions.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Extensive experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco SD-WAN, VMware SD-WAN, Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN).
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Proficiency in network security principles and practices.
  • Experience with firewall and security solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Ansible).
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • SD-WAN certifications (Cisco SD-WAN Implementation and Troubleshooting).
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
  • Experience with SASE architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
