Role Summary GSOC Manager (Hyderabad)

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Hyderabad.
• Ensure 24/7 operational excellence across all GSOC functions.
• Supervise team performance, including scheduling, training, and evaluation.
• Manage critical security incidents to safeguard people, property, and assets.
• Maintain and optimize security technology systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control.
• Lead alarm management initiatives with a focus on reduction, engagement, and system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with systems teams to resolve equipment issues and improve functionality.
• Provide ancillary support to the Americas GSOC, including cross-regional coordination and alignment.
• Drive process optimization, enhance response capabilities, and ensure efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Team Management

2. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of GSOC analysts, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.

3. Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

4. Develop and implement GSOC policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training modules in alignment with client and industry standards.

5. Operations Management

6. Oversee 24/7 GSOC operations to ensure compliance with security protocols and global standards.

7. Act as the primary point of contact for both routine and emergency calls, ensuring clear and composed communication.

8. Coordinate with internal teams, facilities, and EMS personnel during critical incidents via multi-line telephone and radio systems.

9. Incident & Emergency Response

10. Monitor real-time security events, including alarms, threats, and emergencies.

11. Lead the execution of emergency protocols (e.g., fire, medical, natural disasters).
12. Prioritize and escalate critical threats and complaints to relevant stakeholders through incident management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).

13. Ensure timely documentation and resolution of incidents with accurate reporting and follow-up.

14. Alarm Management & Reduction

15. Oversee alarm monitoring, engagement, and response strategies to reduce false alarms

and enhance system reliability.

• Analyze alarm data to identify root causes and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with systems teams to remediate dysfunctional equipment and minimize

operational disruptions.

1. System Oversight & Technical Maintenance

2. Supervise the operational status of all physical security systems, including CCTV,

access control, alarm systems, radios, FACP, and telephony.

• Maintain accurate equipment performance data and escalate unresolved issues to

systems teams.

• Lead system upgrades and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.

• CCTV Monitoring & Threat Detection

• Manage CCTV operations for proactive threat detection and support investigations.

• Enhance CCTV capabilities through integration with alarms and access control systems.
• Provide technical support for sourcing footage, badge audits, and other

investigation-related activities.

1. Threat Intelligence & Investigations

2. Monitor and assess global threat trends relevant to the organization.

3. Produce intelligence advisories, summaries, and assist with technology-related

investigative support.

• Drive strategic initiatives in travel safety and threat awareness.

• Data Analysis, Reporting & Communications

• Analyze incident data and generate trend reports to support strategic decision-making.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system uptime, incident response,

and alarm reduction.

• Develop internal and external communication strategies for security alerts and status

updates.

• Ensure compliance in incident reporting and documentation (e.g., thefts, accidents,

alarms).

1. Cross-Regional Coordination & Support

2. Provide backup coverage and operational support to the Americas GSOC.

3. Facilitate cross-regional communication to align escalation protocols and emergency

response procedures.

Educational & Professional Requirements

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Security Management, Criminology, Emergency Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or a related field. (In lieu of formal education, 7+ years of progressive experience in GSOC operations, crisis management, or security leadership will also be considered.)
• Certifications (Preferred): Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
• Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of continuous, progressive experience in GSOC operations,

emergency services, or crisis management.

Proven leadership in supervising teams and managing complex security

incidents.

Demonstrated expertise in managing alarm systems, CCTV operations, and

equipment remediation initiatives.

• Technical Proficiency:

Advanced hands-on experience with video surveillance, access control, alarm

systems, and incident case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Everbridge,

Ontic).

Experience collaborating with systems teams for issue resolution and

implementation of security system upgrades.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and mass notification systems.
