- Responsible for the design, development, and validation of steering systems for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs).
Must have:
- Strong understanding of Hydraulic and Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems and components (e.g., torque sensors, actuators, steering columns).
- Strong experience in preparation and validation of Specifications
- Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools such as CATIA.
- Hand on experience in Casting /Forging manufacturing design
- Experience with tolerance stack-up analysis and DFMEA.
- Knowledge of vehicle packaging and integration of steering systems.
- Familiarity with global automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, SAE, FMVSS).
- Hands-on experience in defining and executing validation plans (bench, vehicle, durability testing).
- Ability to analyze test data and implement design improvements.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (CFTs).
- Experience in supplier coordination, drawing reviews, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in maintaining design documentation, BOMs, and change management.
- Exposure to mechatronic systems
- Familiarity with simulation tools for steering dynamics or system behavior.
- Understanding of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO
- Experience working in Agile or model-based development environments.
- Knowledge of cost optimization and design-to-manufacture principles.
- Exposure to supplier audits and Product development processes.
- Strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
