Job Description Manufacturing Cost Accountant
Designation - Manager/Sr Manager
Preferred Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems in an ERP environment to support decision-making and cost control.
- Analyze and track production and project costs including raw materials, labor, and overheads.
- Perform product costing and pricing.
- Manage site payables and lead monthly/yearly closing activities.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting by preparing cost and revenue projections.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas of concern.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory levels for accuracy.
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to obtain data and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide management with financial reports and cost analysis for decision-making.
- Continuously improve processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Link financial performance to BU KPIs and provide periodic analysis.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing operations, and cost accounting techniques.
- Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of cost audits across the group.
