Business Analyst

Role Objective

The
Business Analyst
will act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, responsible for
gathering and analyzing requirements, evaluating processes, and recommending data-driven financial and operational solutions
.

The incumbent will drive
business process optimization, decision support through analytics
, and
financial performance improvement
, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

A
Chartered Accountant (mandatory)
or an
MBA in Finance from a Tier-1 business school
is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather, document, and analyze business and financial requirements.
• Translate business needs into
  functional and technical specifications
  for IT, analytics, and operations teams.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.

2. Business Process Evaluation & Improvement

• Map and assess current business processes to identify
  bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies
  .
• Recommend
  process re-engineering, automation, and digital transformation
  initiatives for greater operational efficiency.
• Support
  Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
  programs to drive measurable results.

3. Financial Analysis, Reporting & Decision Support

• Develop and maintain
  financial models, dashboards, and MIS reports
  to support leadership decision-making.
• Conduct
  variance, cost-benefit, and ROI analyses
  across departments and projects.
• Ensure
  data integrity and consistency
  by collaborating with finance and data analytics teams.
• Provide
  insightful recommendations
  for cost optimization, resource allocation, and business growth strategies.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Lead cross-functional discussions to present analytical findings, business insights, and recommendations.
• Serve as a
  link between business users and technical teams
  , ensuring clarity of goals and deliverables.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of
  business requirements, process flows, and approved cases
  .

5. Project & Change Management Support

• Support project teams in preparing
  Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
  ,
  Functional Specifications
  , and
  UAT
  documentation.
• Track and monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with business and financial goals.
• Assist in
  change management
  by preparing training materials and driving end-user adoption.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of
  financial statements, business metrics, and strategic planning
  .
• Advanced proficiency in
  Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau
  , and
  ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle)
  .
• Solid expertise in
  financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  .
• Excellent
  analytical, communication, and stakeholder management
  skills.
• Exposure to
  data analytics, process automation, and Lean/Six Sigma
  frameworks.
• High business acumen with the ability to link operational data to financial outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mandatory:
  Chartered Accountant (CA).

OR

• Mandatory:
  MBA in Finance from a Tier-1 Business School
  (IIM, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI, FMS, etc.).
• Experience:
  3–7 years of relevant experience in
  business analysis, FP&A, or strategy
  roles within
  manufacturing, solar, or renewable energy
  sectors.
