Job Overview
The Senior Manager will oversee the operations and strategic development of a Technical Skill Centre aimed at empowering underserved youth with employable skills. The role involves administrative leadership, technical oversight, stakeholder coordination, curriculum curation, and student placement support.
Key Responsibilities
Centre Management & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Technical Skill Centre.
- Ensure smooth functioning of training programs, infrastructure, and administrative systems.
- Supervise and mentor centre staff and trainers to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor budgets and ensure adherence to financial policies.
Curriculum Development & Training
- Coordinate with industry experts, training partners, and subject matter specialists to curate and update course content.
- Ensure alignment of training modules with market needs and national skill qualification standards.
- Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and incorporate feedback.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with government bodies, corporate partners, training agencies, and donors to strengthen partnerships.
- Organize regular meetings with stakeholders to align objectives and explore new opportunities.
Exposure & Industry Linkages
- Plan and execute industry exposure visits, workshops, and guest lectures for students.
- Facilitate connections with relevant sectors for practical learning experiences.
Student Management & Placement Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of student enrolments, attendance, progress, and certifications.
- Work closely with the placement team to ensure successful student placements.
- Track post-placement progress and gather feedback from employers.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports on program performance, challenges, and impact metrics.
- Maintain proper documentation of all activities, records, and communications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Education, Management, or a related field. Master's preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial/administrative capacity.
- Experience in technical training, skill development programs, or vocational education preferred.
- Knowledge of NSDC/Skill India programs or similar frameworks is a plus.
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and administrative skills.
- Basic technical knowledge in relevant domains (IT, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and database tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and local language).
