"Responsible for performing primary research as part of the investment process.  Responsibilities may include performing channel checks with industry contacts, analyzing industry trends, sizing product markets, and strategic analyses of various companies to help determine their competitive positions. Responsible for gathering large amounts of information, deciphering what is important and communicating that information in a timely and succinct manner.  Demonstrating a strong understanding of mathematical and basic statistical concepts is important to present findings concisely.Conduct, plan, gather, and organize research from primary and secondary sources on businesses, markets, and investments.Channel checks with industry contacts, industry trend analyzation, product market sizing, information gathering, and strategic analysis of various companies to help determine their competitive positions.Organize and analyze researched material after gathering data in order to prepare written reports for the research team..Conduct findings presentations on data gatheredNo direct reports.The Associate will become an expert in the specific areas needing support, and will also cover a broad range of products, markets, and industries. The role is extremely helpful in generating actionable information and data, and provide that information and accurate analysis to decision makers.This position requires a high level of intellectual curiosity, the ability to work independently, and with minimal direction.Important skills for the role will include the ability to gather large amounts of information, decipher what is important and communicate that information in a timely and succinct manner.MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
