BI Specialist- Data

Products and Cloud Engineering & Operations business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to deliver true automation for the CFO's office. As a global team, they create and execute the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development, and product launches for Basware's global product portfolio. Together with other Baswareans, Products and Cloud Engineering & Operation ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.

About the Team

Our data & AI enablement team delivers data, AI and business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency within Basware.

As BI Specialist in our Data & AI enablement team, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will also support the implementation of data products and views used in reporting in our enterprise data platform.

Your work will enable stakeholders to gain actionable insights and improve operational efficiency.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights.
• Support the implementation of data products and views used in reporting as part of our Enterprise Data Platform.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Support PowerBI users when needed.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
• Implement security and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot report performance, refresh schedules, and data connectivity issues.
• Develop documentation and training materials to support self-service BI adoption.
• Stay current with Power BI updates and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data integration and governance.

• Strong experience (5+ years) in designing and developing Power BI solutions.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language)
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, including workspace management and sharing.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and visualizations.
• Experience with Databricks would be appreciated as our Enterprise Data Platform runs on Databricks
• A proactive mindset focused on usability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL or R for advanced analytics and data manipulation.
• Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
