Description

As a Principle Technical Specialist at Nokia's Network Service Platform (NSP) team you would be responsible for leading the technical aspects of Nokia's Network Services Platform (NSP) solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing software solutions, automating the software development lifecycle, and ensuring high-quality, reliable software releases. You also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture strategy, and drive innovation in cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Work with cross-functional agile teams in designing and developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
  • Participate in architectural discussions to refine and optimize system designs for scalability and performance.
  • Engage in hands-on coding and system design, ensuring high-quality standards and best practices are maintained.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new ideas, tools, and methodologies to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
  • Contribute to challenging projects that push the boundaries of technology, working alongside some of the industry's brightest engineers.
Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related field, with 10–12 years of experience in software design and development.
  • Hands-on experience in software development using Java and Golang, with a strong understanding of frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture, with practical experience using tools such as Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in developing Element Management Systems (EMS) or Network Management Systems (NMS) for telecommunication networks, with familiarity in managing network elements and understanding of network management protocols.
  • Familiarity with network management and related protocols, including gRPC/gNMI (gRPC Network Management Interface), NETCONF (Network Configuration Protocol), and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of network technologies such as Internet Protocol (IP) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), with experience in designing systems optimized for high scalability and performance.
  • Practical experience working with network elements from multiple vendors, including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei, showcasing adaptability and proficiency across diverse networking equipment.
