Position Summary:

The FP&A professional plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and strategic planning for the organization. They provide actionable insights to support decision-making, improve business performance, and ensure the company meets its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align on financial goals and plans.

2. Financial Modelling:

  • Build dynamic financial models to analyze potential investments, projects, and business scenarios.
  • Evaluate revenue, cost, and profitability trends.

3. Variance Analysis:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast).
  • Identify and explain key financial trends and deviations.

4. Strategic Planning:

  • Support long-term planning efforts by creating projections and evaluating market opportunities.
  • Provide insights into capital allocation and resource optimization.

5. Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and report key financial and operational metrics (KPIs).
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations for leadership.

6. Decision Support:

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports to aid strategic decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve decision-making processes.

7. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present financial insights to senior management, investors, or board members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, marketing).

8. Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
  • Enhance automation and accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Hyperion, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Educational Background & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) are a plus.
