Gracias Granny, a vibrant Mexican Cafe, with three outlets, is looking for a Host to work at our brand new Santacruz West location.

As a Host at Gracias Granny, you'll be the first and last face guests see — setting the tone for their entire experience. You'll welcome customers warmly, manage table flow during busy hours, assist in taking orders when needed, and help create a smooth, cheerful dining atmosphere that reflects our brand's energy and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction & Service
• Greet and seat guests with warmth, ensuring every guest feels noticed and welcomed.
• Maintain the waitlist and manage reservations effectively during rush hours.
• Guide guests through the menu and offer recommendations or combos when needed.
• Handle takeaway pickups and coordinate with baristas or servers for smooth order flow.
• Collect feedback and escalate any concerns to the Manager immediately.
• Operational Support
• Coordinate table turnover with the serving and cleaning staff.
• Ensure menus, tables, and counters are tidy and ready for service at all times.
• Support servers or cashiers when required — including taking or packing orders in high-traffic periods.
• Assist in maintaining queue discipline and crowd flow at peak times.
• Upselling & Brand Representation
• Promote ongoing offers (like coffee/churro combos, add-ons, etc.) to enhance guest spend.
• Communicate Gracias Granny's sustainability philosophy in a natural, friendly manner.
• Represent the brand tone — approachable, upbeat, and authentic — in every interaction.

Requirements

• Prior experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Positive attitude, reliable presence, and a genuine interest in people.
• Flexible with shift timings and weekends.
