Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the Biotechnology / MLS Department.
  • Lead curriculum development, syllabus design, and implementation as per UGC/PCI/AICTE/NAAC/NBA guidelines.
  • Mentor, guide, and evaluate faculty members to ensure academic excellence and professional growth.
  • Oversee teaching, learning, and research activities within the department.
  • Facilitate research projects, publications, patents, and funded projects in relevant domains.
  • Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and guest lectures for students and faculty.
  • Ensure effective student mentoring, career guidance, and placement support.
  • Maintain strong industry and institutional linkages to foster collaborations.
  • Monitor departmental administration including timetables, academic calendars, records, and compliance with university norms.
  • Contribute to policy formulation and academic planning at the institutional level.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology / MLS or relevant discipline (mandatory) from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 3-5 years in an administrative/leadership role.
  • Should have a strong research profile with publications in reputed journals, funded projects, or patents.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
