Job Description:

A Head Civil Structural role in coal mining oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of mine structures, ensuring safety and compliance. This includes managing projects, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring structures meet regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning:
    Develop and oversee the design of various mine structures, including surface and underground facilities, ensuring structural integrity and safety. 


  • Construction Management:
    Manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines, and budget. 


  • Maintenance and Repair:
    Oversee the maintenance and repair of mine structures, ensuring they remain in optimal condition and meet safety standards. 


  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all structures comply with relevant regulations and standards. 


  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    Work closely with other departments, such as mining operations, safety, and environmental, to integrate civil/structural engineering into the overall mining process. 


  • Project Management:
    Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project completion. 


  • Safety and Security:
    Prioritize safety in all aspects of design, construction, and maintenance, ensuring the well-being of personnel. 


  • Problem Solving:
    Address structural issues and challenges, finding innovative solutions to ensure the continued operation of the mine
