Job Summary:
The Sales Manager for Water Treatment & Automation Projects and Trading is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales efforts related to automation solutions and trading platforms for industrial, commercial, or financial sectors. This role involves building relationships with potential clients, driving the sales cycle, and managing a sales team to meet targets and grow the company's market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of automation systems and trading solutions, along with a proven track record in sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Water Treatment & Automation projects and trading solutions, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
- Identify and target new business opportunities in automation
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to client needs and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Business Development and Lead Generation:
- Generate and qualify leads through market research, networking, and industry events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, including manufacturing, energy, logistics, finance, and other sectors that utilize automation and trading technologies.
- Create compelling sales presentations, product demos, and proposals tailored to customer requirements.
- Sales Management and Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals specializing in Water Treatment, automation and trading solutions.
- Set individual and team sales targets, monitor progress, and provide coaching to ensure targets are met.
- Conduct regular sales training sessions to keep the team updated on new products, technologies, and market trends.
- Sales Cycle and Contract Negotiation:
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and final deal closure.
- Work closely with the legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are structured correctly and meet company standards.
- Ensure the timely follow-up with prospects, providing necessary information and addressing any concerns during the decision-making process.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as the point of contact for client concerns and feedback, working to resolve issues and ensure successful project implementation.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Continuously analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market conditions, and business opportunities.
- Track sales KPIs, including revenue, customer acquisition costs, and customer retention rates.
- Collaboration with Technical and Support Teams:
- Work closely with technical teams to understand product features and capabilities, ensuring that sales staff are well-equipped to present technical solutions to customers.
- Coordinate with project management and customer support teams to ensure smooth implementation and post-sales service for clients.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in managing sales teams.
- Proven track record in selling Water Treatment solutions & automation solutions
- Experience in both technical sales and B2B sales environments is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding Water Treatment solutions & automation technologies
- Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into value propositions for clients.
