Art and craft Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Art & Craft Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching various art forms and craft skills to students, fostering their creativity, enhancing their artistic skills, and encouraging self-expression. The Art & Craft Teacher will create an engaging and supportive learning environment that allows students to explore their artistic potential and gain an appreciation for different forms of art and craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery:
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in art and craft, covering various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafting techniques.
• Use a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to encourage students to experiment and explore their creative abilities.
• Design and execute thematic projects that integrate art and craft with other subjects or seasonal events.
• Curriculum Implementation:
• Follow the school's prescribed curriculum for art and craft, ensuring that lessons meet educational standards while fostering creativity and artistic expression.
• Provide students with the foundational knowledge of artistic techniques, color theory, drawing skills, and different craft-making methods.
• Introduce students to famous artists, art history, and various cultures' artistic traditions to expand their understanding of art.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a stimulating and organized classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and are encouraged to explore different artistic styles.
• Ensure students use materials and tools safely and maintain the classroom in an orderly fashion.
• Foster positive behavior, teamwork, and cooperation during group activities and art projects.
• Assessment & Feedback:
• Observe and assess students' artistic development through individual projects, class participation, and creative assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their skills and develop their artistic confidence.
• Maintain records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding students' performance and achievements in art and craft.
• Student Engagement & Support:
• Support and encourage students with varying levels of artistic talent, providing individualized guidance and additional assistance to students who may need extra help.
• Promote the importance of art and craft in developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and fine motor skills.
• Organize and participate in art exhibitions, school-wide displays, and competitions to showcase students' creativity and achievements.
• Extra-Curricular Activities:
• Organize and lead art and craft workshops, clubs, or after-school programs to foster an extended interest in the arts.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art and craft into cross-curricular projects, enhancing students' learning experience.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and educational practices in art and craft education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and art-related knowledge.
• Share new ideas, resources, and creative practices with colleagues to improve the quality of art education in the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field. A B.Ed. or teaching certification is preferred.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience in art and craft at the primary or secondary school level is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong proficiency in various art forms (drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, etc.) and crafting techniques (e.g., paper crafts, clay work, textile arts).
• Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse artistic abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Creative and resourceful with the ability to think outside the box in delivering lessons and projects.
• Ability to organize art exhibitions, shows, and student projects.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for fostering students' creativity and artistic expression.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹33,000.00 per month
