Workday Financials Techno-Functional Consultant (with Grants Management Experience)

Position: Workday Financials Techno-Functional Consultant (SUPPORT ROLE)

Location:remote

Type: Support role (20 hours/week)

Time: 6:30 PM IST to 2:30 PM IST (EST time zone)

About the Role

We are looking for a Workday Financials Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Grants Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technology—supporting finance users, configuring Workday Financials modules, and troubleshooting technical issues, while ensuring smooth operations and enhancements of our Workday platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for Workday Financials, with a focus on Grants Management and related modules (Projects, Procurement, Accounting, Expenses, etc.).
  • Partner with finance, grants, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.
  • Perform Workday configuration, testing, and deployment for functional and technical changes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and integrations within Workday.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in grant-related financial reporting.
  • Work with vendors, auditors, and stakeholders to ensure system controls, security, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Document system enhancements, process flows, and provide user training when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of Workday Financials experience with a strong focus on Grants Management.
  • Proven techno-functional expertise: ability to configure, troubleshoot, and support Workday Financials while working closely with technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes: grants, budgeting, accounting, and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-Have

  • Workday certifications in Financials or Grants Management.
  • Experience with other Workday modules (Procurement, Projects, Expenses).
  • Prior experience in higher education, research, or non-profit organizations with grant funding.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 15 weeks

Pay: ₹25, ₹60,000.00 per month
