Cafe Manager – Vegan/ Vegetarian Cafe & Eco Hostel

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead the operations of our vibrant cafe, located within an eco-conscious hostel. This role combines the energy of a plant-based cafe environment with the hospitality of a community-driven hostel, offering a unique opportunity for someone passionate about food, service, and sustainability.

As the Cafe Manager, you will oversee daily cafe operations while also supporting the overall hostel experience. Your primary focus will be on managing the cafe's service quality, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. You will lead a dedicated team of 8 staff members, handling scheduling, training, and performance to maintain high service standards.

You'll also interact regularly with customers, addressing their needs and creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. From supervising food and beverage service to coordinating with hostel staff and ensuring cleanliness and efficiency, your role will be central to the success of our cafe and its integration with the hostel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the cafe
  • Ensure excellent customer service and smooth cafe service flow
  • Manage and motivate a team of 8 staff members, including scheduling and training
  • Coordinate with hostel staff to support overall guest experience
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality standards in the cafe
  • Monitor inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and eco-friendly environment
