Diameter Implementation Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Diameter Implementation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end integration and implementation of Diameter solutions with BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) systems. You will work closely with internal and client teams to deploy and support Diameter-based Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) services for our ISP (Internet Service Provider) customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diameter Solution Implementation:
• Lead the implementation and configuration of Diameter servers for ISP integrations, ensuring smooth and seamless integration with BNG systems.
• Work on Diameter-based AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) solutions, focusing on secure and reliable operation within customer networks.
• Deploy and configure Diameter protocols, ensuring scalability, high availability, and performance for ISP networks.
• Configure and customize Diameter server settings, including user profiles, group-based policies, bandwidth management, and authentication mechanisms.
• BNG Integration:
• Integrate Diameter with BNG systems to facilitate seamless user authentication and management in broadband environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between Diameter and BNG, ensuring high uptime and service availability.
• Collaborate with the Network Operations Team to verify and test integrations and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Diameter and BNG-related issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution for customers.
• Work closely with customer support teams to identify and resolve technical issues in the integration phase and post-deployment.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, and system behavior to diagnose issues related to Diameter performance and connectivity.
• Documentation & Best Practices:
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of Diameter configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Develop and document integration best practices, scripts, and automation workflows to improve implementation processes.
• Prepare detailed implementation reports and deliverables for internal and customer-facing use.
• Collaboration & Training:
• Collaborate with development, testing, and support teams to ensure consistent implementation and integration of Diameter-based systems.
• Train customers on best practices for managing and troubleshooting Diameter integrations within their network.
• Provide feedback to the product team regarding potential improvements or enhancements to the Diameter integration process.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in Diameter server implementation, integration, and configuration, ideally in an ISP or telecom environment.
• Hands-on experience with BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) and network protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) protocols, especially with Diameter.
• Radius knowledge is a strong additional skill and will be considered a valuable asset.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Diameter server setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with network hardware and software for ISP integrations, including BNG systems, routers, and switches.
• Knowledge of network security, VPNs, and firewalls in the context of Diameter-based services.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl) for automation and configuration.
• Experience working with Wireshark or similar tools for network traffic analysis.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network and authentication issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical teams and non-technical customers.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward continuous learning and process improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously, delivering high-quality results under deadlines.
• Customer location travel will be part of this role, so having a valid passport is a must.

Pay: ₹10, ₹99,563.30 per month
