Role & responsibilities

  • The Candidate should have hands on experience into Oracle PLSQL
  • Good at design schema from start for complex financial databases.
  • Good hands on experience in design complex procedures, functions, packages, triggers etc.
  • Ability to do database sizing in terms of storage as well as processing speed.
  • Creating database objects like Tables, Views, Synonyms, Materialized Views, Indexes, and Sequences
  • Good understanding of table/index partitioning concepts.
  • Expertise in dynamic sqls / cursors.
  • Adept at oracle SQL Loader, Data Pump and similar Oracle utilities.
  • Implementation of Dynamic SQL and bind variables
  • Expertise in parsing and generating XML/Jason files through PL/SQL code
  • Deep understanding of Oracle Scheduler
  • Knowledge on Query Tuning and creating SQL profiles
  • Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver robust database solutions
  • Perform data modelling and schema design for new applications and enhancements
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in database development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, test, and production environments
  • Good at patch creation, schema compare and version control.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Relevant degree in software engineering fields
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience.
